An Interview with Myself

March 9, 2016 Blog Events 2

When I saw that Rachel @ Beauty and the Bookshelf was planning this blogging event, it was like she reached through the depths of the internet into my soul and figured out exactly what I needed. Because if you haven’t noticed, I’ve been struggling real hard with blogging for the past few weeks. But I’m HOPING that this is the exact push I need to get back into the swing of things.

So to get things started, I’m interviewing myself.

Name? Location? Age?

Hey! I’m Jordin. I currently live in Madison, WI and I’m 25 years old.

Family peoples?

I live with my husband, Ben and our two cats, Aubrey and Everett. Our cats are the best. They are pretty fiesty and always making some sort of trouble, but they are coziest companions and love to snuggle.

My parents, Ben’s family, and two of my siblings live in MN, and I have one sister who lives in MA. Ben and I visit MN quite a bit because of our family and it’s where we both grew up.

Love story?

Ben and I went to elementary school together, but I didn’t really know he existed until middle school, and we started dating the summer after our sophomore year of high school. It was one of those situations were I had been crushing on him all year long and one of my friends forced me to ask him out via AIM. It was kinda of funny though because Ben was multi-tasking and playing WOW so he didn’t see my message for like an hour… when I was going crazy the whole time :). It all worked out though and we did long distance during college and got married on our 8 year dating anniversary, which was last June.

Currently Reading?

Nothing! But hopefully that changes by the time this post goes up. I just finished Red Queen, which was better than I expected it to be.

What do you wish you were doing right now?

Sleeping. I’m still recovering from a fever that lasted 3 days, and even though I’m back at work, I wish I could snuggle up with my cats for a long nap.

Favorite Season? SUMMER!!

Favorite Color? Teal

Favorite Animal? CATS, though I also enjoy bunnies, puppies, penguins, and cute baby animals

Favorite Food? This is an impossible question, but chocolate is the answer to all my problems sooo

Favorite Beverage? Hard cider

Favorite Warm Beverage? Caramel macchiato

Favorite thing to do in your spare time? Snuggle up with all the blankets and cats with a good book, and easy access to a refreshing beverage.

Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw, though lately I’ve been thinking I might be a Ravenpuff or a Huffleclaw.

Author I push on everyone I meet

Tamora Pierce because she writes the best fantasy in the WORLD!

And that’s all the questions I can think of right now, feel free to ask more in the comments!

Oooh, your love story sounds so sweet! I remember the awkward middle school/high school chats with guys on MSN/AIM – I never really had crushes back then, expect on celebrities and ice hockey players 10 years older than me, but I remember once when my friend send “romantic” MSN messages from my chat to this guy I couldn’t stand. 😀 Nothing embarrassing resulted from it, or at least I can’t remember anything happening because of those messages.

Your blog is adorable! And aww, I love your love story! And KITTIES! I’m a big fan of fantasy and need to read more of it, and I’ve heard much raving about Tamora Pierce’s books. Snuggling up in your blankets with a book just hits the spot sometimes, though I’m more likely to have one of my dogs snuggling with me than one of my cats. Also, fever, UGH. I had that bug in January and February and didn’t feel better for DAYS. I didn’t really have a fever–but I felt like I did sometimes–but I had the cough and sore throat and headaches. I slept for like half an hour one night, and didn’t fall asleep until four in the morning anyway. Thank goodness you’re feeling better and only got a fever. Thanks for joining in! I hope this helps with getting back into blogging!
