Monthly Update: November

December 10, 2015 Updates 3

Last year I tried to do quarterly updates for all my challenges, and honestly that was really hard for me. I would always wait to the last minute. And linking all those cover images for books I read over three months took FOREVER. So this year, I’m giving monthly updates a try. I’m hopping that it will help keep me organized. So here we go…

Nov Update

Things I Did:

November went by rather quickly, but for the most part I was able to relax and catch up on some household chores. I finish the challenge my gym was doing, and then proceeded to take a break from working out for the rest of the month which honestly has been nice. My husband and I went to MN for Thanksgiving and stayed with my sister who has two girls, an infant and a 3-yr-old, which was kinda crazy but also a lot of fun. Though I wish I could hang out with my 3-yr-old niece more and watch ALL the disney movies.

Books I Read:

(images linked to Goodreads)

Cress Happily Ever After Winter Manners and Mutiny

Stats

# of books: 4, whomp whomp, even though I didn’t read too many books, I read TWO series enders and WINTER was a beast sooo I’m still proud.

Pages Read: 2097

Genres: 2 Retellings, 1 Dystopian, 1 Steampunk

Best Book of the Month: WINTER because of all the epicness!

Quotes that Stuck:

“Thorne glared at him. “Whatever, Doctor. It’s just, when Cress thought she was in love with me, she was actually in love with this other guy she’d made up in her head, who was brave and selfless and stuff. I mean, he was a real catch, so who could blame her? Even I liked that guy. I kind of wish I was that guy.” He shrugged.

“Are you so sure you’re not?”

~Marissa Meyer, Winter

“I would have killed everyone of them to get to you. I would have done anything to get you back. Knowing that we were coming here was the only thing that kept me sane.” His brow creased. “Though there were a couple times when I went a little insane anyway.”

~Marissa Meyer, Winter

Movies I Saw:

Ant-Man… which I thought was great! I feel like people were hating on it when it came out, but I liked getting more context in the Avengers world and just the plot overall.

TV Shows I Watched:

Boy Meets World and Girl Meets World…. I’m kind of watching them back in forth from the beginning which has been a lot of fun. Even though I enjoy Girl Meets World, I don’t think it could ever live up to Boy Meets World.

Once Upon a Time – Things are getting weird and I will FLAIL in an EXTREMELY UPSET manner is my SHIP Captain Swan goes down….. NOOOOOOOOOOO.

Downton Abbey. ::sobs:: its on hiatus until the Christmas episode

Supernatural. Grey’s Anatomy. Both shows that I’m still watching, but I just don’t know how they can keep going.

What I’m Looking Forward in December

CHRISTMAS!!! My sister gave me her old fake tree after I had accepted the fact that I wouldn’t be able to afford a tree real or fake this year (and I had really been looking forward to decorating for Christmas for the first time with my hubby). SO now I can decorate it with the small number of ornaments I have and it may look sad, but I’ll be happy! Maybe I’ll get crafty… we’ll see.

I’m also looking forward to getting more organized with the blog and the apartment and working out and LIFE. I’m super determined make weekly lists because if I write something down I’m way more likely to remember to do it, and I used to make lists everyday when I was in school, even when I was like 9. So even if I don’t completely finish unpacking/organizing the office, I will make progress!

Aw, thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed my post. 😀 Also: WINTER. I must get my sticky little paws on that monster, STAT. But then again, I’m still reading the same book I was reading in mid-October, so it might be best to have my paws wait until Winter Break? *runs off before she can contradict herself and loot Barnes & Noble.com*
