Tiger Fighting, October 27th. Today, salary expert Bobby Marks said that all teams in the league are currently lobbying to increase the luxury tax line next season from 132 million to 139 million and the hard salary cap to 145 million.
If the luxury tax line remains unchanged at 132 million, the free market and trading operations during this off-season will basically be frozen. A constant luxury tax line will only benefit teams that currently have cap space.
According to previous reports, the league and the players union will postpone the deadline set by agreements such as next season's salary cap for the third time. The deadline after the third extension is October 30, local time.
